So, what with how COVID has messed things up, my only middle school dance will be in April. The Spring Formal. Of course, I wouldn't dream of going to it in any normal way! This is a special occasion! So obviously, to make the most of it, I've come up with a plot (all but the last step either parent-approved or likely to be). Step 1: Get a dark green tuxedo. I'm a girl, but tuxes are the epitome of formal. There can't be any contest. Also, dresses are a NO. The color is negotiable, if I can't secure a dark green one then midnight blue and standard black. Step 2: No makeup, ever, but a nice perfume is always a good idea. I'm not thinking flowers, though, I'm thinking forest or something else I like. I'm doing this for my enjoyment, not anyone else's. Step 3: I'm NOT going with a date, so if someone does ask me (I don't think anyone will, but best to be prepared, just in case) I'm going to politely decline. Step 4: I'm nearly bowing to convention on this one, but I'm thinking a nice hairstyle, maybe two connected braids from the front of my hair looping over a larger one in the back? (I tried to find a picture, but no luck). I'm not sure if I've got long enough hair for it to work, though, so I'm open to suggestions. To offset the semi-normalcy, I think I can dye the very back of my hair blue, and pretty bright blue at that. I've always wanted to. Step 5: I'm bringing at least three stink bombs. This has been a part of my plot from the beginning. The only point of this step that's negotiable is what kind they should be. My best options are valerian, ginkgo, or a random smelly flower that's not nearly as bad but I've already got on hand. Thoughts? Ideas? Opinions?
