◼️ Personality ◼️ Domino is a strange one. Like many Smeargle, she has a natural eye for beauty, and loves nothing more than to brighten up the world with the colorful paint that oozes from her tail! She's always hard at work trying to spread a little cheer and vibrance to the dying world of Rust, creating intricate murals and striking works of art on whatever surface is available. Or... so she thinks. As you've probably noticed, the paint on her tail is pitch black - hardly vibrant at all. It used to be a lovely shade of hot pink, but darkened as a side effect of her Tarnishing. And most of her 'paintings' are little more than haphazard splatters flung about with no rhyme or reason by an unstable Pokemon. Domino, being completely blind and more than a little delusional, hasn't noticed this. She wholeheartedly believes that she's still creating bright and brilliant masterpieces, and anyone who says otherwise is just some sad jealous wretch who doesn't deserve to live in her 'perfect world'. Irritable, obsessive, and with an ego the size of an Eternatus, she sees herself and her art as leagues more important than the lives of anyone around her. Even when she's not actively working, she maintains an air of tightly-wound vanity, ready to snap at the slightest provocation. I wouldn't recommend petting this dog. ◼️ Backstory ◼️ For the longest time, Domino was happy. She was an artistic child, with plenty of friends and a loving family that supported her dreams of becoming a famous painter (even when she insisted on exclusively using her tail for her work, a rather clunky tool that only produced one color). Though she never quite got the recognition she'd dreamed of, she still grew up to be relatively successful, living peacefully in a nice little studio at the edge of the town. Oh, but nothing good can last. The hole in her waist was the first sign of Tarnish to appear, soon followed by her right leg and eventually her eyes. Her eyes? No! NO! She couldn't lose her sight! Art was the only thing she had to live for! Domino began to panic, and locked herself in her studio for nearly a month straight to do nothing but paint and paint until she couldn't paint anymore. When she finally emerged, she was unrecognizable. Half her face was gone, her tail had turned black, and she'd stained her fur with thick spatters of ink. She wordlessly wandered out into the woods, ignoring the worried voices of her friends and family asking what had happened. She understood now. There was work to be done. ◼️ Other ◼️ >Some of Domino's 'paintings' seem to feature written messages of some kind scrawled between the splotches of ink. They're difficult to make out, but probably don't mean anything. Probably. >Her old studio is still standing on the east side of town. Nobody's really touched it, since... y'know, every inch of the walls and floor are covered in manic scribbling and claw marks and it just gives off a bad vibe overall. >Before the Tarnish, her paint color was - this is ultimately pointless but fun to know! >She did have a paw print mark painted on her back when she was younger, like most Smeargle, but the ink stains covered it up.
