We were just wandering around (oh grop I’m doing it again- save me) until we saw an unsettling ship. “Should we go in?” Wander asked. “Is he an idiot?” Scoffed Tabitha. I laughed, and Tabitha gave me a condescending glimmer. “What did she say?” Asked Wander. “Nothin’.” I responded. “I'm not scared if that's what you’re saying!” Sylvia glared at my bag. “Great, ‘cuz I'm just worried maybe somebody's in there and needs… help.” Said Wander. “I don't know, it looks pretty empty…” I said. I was feeling a biiit nervous. I looked around and saw Wander already walking towards the ship. “I have a bad feeling about this…” Said Sylvia. “The feeling is mutual,” I agreed. When we stepped inside, Sylvia and I kept nervously looking around, as if waiting for a jumpscare. Hah! Kinda reminds me of my grandparents’ basement. “Hey, anybody looking for a rescue party here??” I heard Wander yell from a couple feet away. I then put a finger over my mouth signaling for him to be quiet. “You know… to me it looks like the people here already had a party. This place is a mess!” Exclaimed Wander. “Just stay close, got it?” Asked Sylvia. “Y/N, if anything comes at you, I WILL kill it.” I heard Tabitha say. I laughed. “Alright, I'm right behind you!” Wander chirped. “Yeah, me too.” I said. Sylvia led us into a room where everything was broken and shattered. “Jeez, if these walls could talk-“ I said. Wander pointed at a cracked screen, saying, “look!” Sylvia and I walked over, the screen buzzed, and it started to play something. “Captain’s log number 445, this is Captain Tim. Despite my exceedingly heroic efforts to control the ship, things are rapidly deteriorating. I'm not sure how much longer my impressive strength can keep the monster at bay.” We all looked at the door that had the hole, that must've been the hole the monster made. “If you’re watching this now, ignore my dashing good looks and heed this warning…” the person on the screen continued. Before he could tell us, something jumped at him and the screen went glitchy for a moment, and then it went back to black. Sylvia and I looked at each other, positively horrified, and we scrambled to get out of the room. “Wander, we have to get out of here!” Sylvia exclaimed. “There’s no one here to help!” I added. We looked around to try and find him until I noticed a hole carved out by acid. Once we looked inside, we saw that the hole extended past multiple floors of the ship. “Wander, can you hear me?!” Sylvia yelled down the hole. “If you can hear us, then shout!” I yelled. We heard nothing coming from the hole. However, we did hear something scrambling around, so we both looked up and started frantically scouring the ceiling with our eyes. “Wander?” Asked Sylvia. “Is that you, buddy?” I asked. Just then, we heard a screech that didn’t sound like Wander, so we ran. I made sure to take my bag while I ran, because Tabitha kinda lives there now. While we were running, I kept hearing pipes falling behind us. I then jumped on Sylvia’s back to avoid crashing into a pipe (as she doesn’t mind when I do it), but she ran into a wall. Then, something sitting on a pipe on the ceiling shot burning acid at us, but luckily we had time to duck before it made a giant hole in the wall. A little drop got on my bag, so I checked to make sure Tabitha was fine. She had a little piece chipped off her, but she should be fine. “HOLY GROP!!! What was that?!” I heard her yell not even a minute later. “No time! We gotta go!” I responded. We then went into the hole in the wall and hid behind a couple of boxes and crates. “I KNEW we should never have come here!” Said Sylvia. While looking around the room we had jumped into, I found an old-timey laser gun and began shooting it at the monster. And just my luck… the gun almost immediately ran out of power, so I just threw the gun at the monster. Thankfully, the gun hit the monster and it ran off. “Yeah, you better run you… spider… alien… thing!” Sylvia yelled at the now gone monster. “Uh, Syl..? We forgot Wander.” I said. Sylvia responded with, “Don’t worry Wander, we’re coming for you, buddy, but first-“ we turn and see lots of massive laser guns. “We’re gonna need some bigger blasters.” I smiled. “Took the words right out of my mouth,” Sylvia said. Then as we got prepared, we ripped some fabric up and tried to look like those people from the weirdly popular generic zombie apocalypse movies. She could totally pull the look off, but I just looked ridiculous. We then started to look around with the guns, ready to fire at whatever monster came out of the shadows. “Think you can teleport us to Wander?” I asked Tabitha. “Ah… no. You kinda wasted my only teleport a couple days ago, and I’m gonna need about a week to recharge. Sorry!” She said, a bit guiltily. “What did she say?” Asked Sylvia. “She said no.” I responded. I really needed to get a translation necklace for Sylvia.
We then entered a green trashy room where a furry spider thing with a large pair of lips jumped in front of us. Terrified, Sylvia and I shot at it frantically. However, after a few minutes it got tired of dodging and just spat acid at our guns and they melted. “Ohhhhhh grop-“ Sylvia and I said in unison, nervous. It then spits webs at the two of us and ties us to the ceiling. The monster examined my bag, and looked at Tabitha. “Don’t touch me you filthy jerk!” She screamed. “This is so gross. Yuck!” I heard Sylvia say. “This is NOT how I was hoping to go out.” I whimpered. After I said that, the monster went up to me and slobbered all over the side of my face. I was just about ready to throw up, I was so disgusted! “You still haven't found me!!!” A familiar voice called from far away. It was Wander! The monster ran to where the voice was coming from. “Oh no, Wander!” Sylvia called. “Wait, stop, come back, my face is WAY more tasty then his, I promise!” I pleaded with the monster. We then continued to try and get free until Sylvia broke free and fell into the acid, but strangely enough, wasn't melting. “Oh, yuck yuck yuck yuck YUCK! I need a SHOWER! No, no, I need to SAVE Wander.” Sylvia exclaimed. “We, WE need to save Wander.” I corrected her. “I bet she’s planning to abandon us.” Said Tabitha. “Oh, don’t say that, Tabitha.” I scolded. Sylvia sighed. “I’m assuming she said something rude, but I’m still getting you down.” She then jumped up, cut me down with a piece of shattered glass, and handed my bag to me. We looked at the corner, only to see a weapon MOTHERLOAD! “Sylvia, it's like my brother always said, go big, or go home.” I smirked at her. She nodded at me. “I’m a big fan of that mentality myself, at the moment.” We jumped into the pile of weapons and found some even bigger blasters. “CHARGE!!!” I yelled, frantically waving my weapon around like a crazy person. I then kicked a massive vent open and we all crawled out to try and find Wander and the monster. “Wander, can you hear me?” Asked Sylvia. Under the weight of both of us, the vent collapsed and we fell to the ground. I winced, then noticed something hanging from a pipe. “Uh, Sylvia?” I said. “What?” Sylvia asked, still recovering from the fall. “That.” I pointed up at a cocoon-looking thing as Sylvia pointed her flashlight at it. She got it down and started to try and open it. One she got it open, it was full of orange fur. My heart stopped, and I could tell Sylvia was terrified as well. “No… it- it can’t be!” Sobbed Sylvia. “Wander…” I said, under my breath. “No…” Tears were flowing from my eyes, and they wouldn’t stop. He was the first friend I ever made (the second being Sylvia, of course). Even Sylvia had started crying. “Wander, we may have failed you, but as long as we live and breathe, we will avenge you.” Sylvia said dramatically, drying her tears. She grabbed me, threw me onto her back (in a way that wouldn’t hurt me), and ran off to do something. I think I passed out after that.
