Welcome to Kitten Calculator! Just create your mother and your father cat, and it gives you the kittens! All the cats in this all have dominant genes, so they aren't masking anything they're not showing. Also, male cats always look like their mothers (or a diluted form of that colour). Females get their colour from both, so tortoiseshells (torties) are possible if one parent is red (looks orange). If no parents are orange, they take the colouring from the parent with the dominant gene colour (the darker coloured parent, in this case) If one parent is tabby, ALL KITTENS will be tabby or torbie (tabby tortoiseshell). Both parents must be diluted for the kittens to be diluted. Red (orange) is the most dominant gene, followed by black, chocolate and then cinnamon. **IMPORTANT NOTE: If you click an orange cat and then not tabby it shows a tabby. This is NOT a glitch. All red cats appear tabbies even if they are genetically solid.** Diluted orange cats are called cream/creme, diluted black cats are called blue, diuted chocolate cats are called lilac, and diluted cinnamon cats are called fawn. Also dilution is not a dominant gene, meaning both the parents have to show or carry dilution. Also, two diluted cats can ONLY have diluted kittens. Similarly to dilution, colourpoint and long hair are both non-dominant. This means for kittens to have either of these, both parents must be the same one. This is not the case in real life, only here, where cats cannot mask anything.
