The toys are cheap, collectible, and fairly high-quality. You get a general idea of what is in the machine (e.g. Pokemon toys, kawaii food toys, little vehicles...) but you don't get to pick exactly which one you get! It's a surprise! On Scratch, a gachapon is a collection of adoptables. And, similar to the IRL gachapon, you get to see the adoptables, but which you get is a surprise.
