I discovered it a few years ago, my school participating in a project which consisted in creating a common project, for the whole class, by gathering different creations about "poilus" of the Great War (First World War). This work allowed me to discover Scratch, I spent my free time to make various projects, that I will rather qualify as "simple", sometimes with friends. Then I discovered the Scratch website, so many more things to discover, it was three years ago and everything was scrolling before my eyes! Well, so many things... But I was still alone, not having really discovered the wonderful Scratch community yet! The forum opened to me, my messages started to bloom here and there. Now, the person I was at that time, I don't like it, I don't like it anymore. The confinement... Oh unfortunate for some, I can admit. Oh it was so good to take my mind off of it, Beyond just spending hours at home, within four walls, I spent more time on Scratch... My mind, these days, was telling me to earn more, of all the indicators Scratch could give me, which didn't indicate much though. I can't, can't tell you exactly how I started to change anymore. Now I think it was trying to imitate the Scratchers I admired. Oh how wonderful it is to see people like you, kind, grateful, thankful and I wanted to imitate you, I wanted to be more like the others too, which I was not. I told you that Scratch is a programming language, it's true, but Scratch is not only that, Scratch is much more, a community where we can share our fights for society, a community we can count on, a place where we can have fun, we can try new things, collaborate together... no matter what body we have, what country we come from.
