Short Answer: don't unless it's a canon relationship or you respect their sexuality Long Answer: Look, I know I can't control my fans, but please don't ship my characters together UNLESS it's a relationship that doesn't contradict their sexuality. For example, Eren can't be shipped with any other character because he is asexual, and he's also 13. I know I was never explicit about confirming character sexualities, since I wanted to confirm them in the show, but YES, multiple characters are LGBTQ+. Most of them are also in exclusive relationships. Eren is asexual Aspen is straight (she dates Aurel in a later episode) Aurel is bisexual (he dated a guy before Season 1) Millie is a lesbian Ember and Sasha are a lesbian couple (engaged) Hooded Figure is bisexual (by the request of his VA) Avalon is gay (will be expanded upon later) Freya is straight Burnem has no confirmed sexuality Tiberius has no confirmed sexuality Carnelian has no confirmed sexuality Gerald is gay and is married to Cat Guy Dream Dragon is nonbinary/gender non-conforming Gil has no confirmed sexuality Ezra is straight I wanted to wait until I could confirm these, but I have to announce this now so you guys know to control yourselves. I'm tired of getting comments of sexualizing the cast and making inappropriate jokes about them. Some of them are underage, and some of them are in relationships. Please don't do that. I'm being completely serious on this. This has made me extremely uncomfortable. I'm not being a prude. I just feel like I need to establish their sexualities because I'm asexual myself. Not a lot of characters in media are LGBTQ+, let alone ace/aro ones. So by having the ace character get shipped with other characters is strange. I also think it's weird that people thirst over my characters when I never designed them with such intentions. I designed them to be people, not objects to be gawked at. (It's also weird when people are thirsting over Carnelian when she's a dragon, like a feral dragon that walks on four legs) I feel like I shouldn't have to tell you this, but at this point, I'm just sick and tired of it. I don't want to log on just to tell you to stop being weird about my characters. Have common sense and respect my boundaries. If this keeps happening again, I'll have to shut off comments or directly confront these people who keep doing it.
