This was my homework for animation class, and I liked it so much, I decided to publish it on Scratch. I know it has obvious quality issues, but I ain't too worried about it. Basically: This animation was made to incorporate the idea of "squash and stretch," one of the 12 principles of animation. When something is moving fast in one direction, we make it stretched in that direction and squashed up and down. For example, notice how when the ball is moving downwards, it is longer but thinner. When that object hits a resting object (like a wall), it will do the opposite, getting flatter and stretching sideways, like when the ball hits the ground. It's also important that the object must always keep the same mass, meaning if it gets wider, it must also get shorter, and if it gets taller, it must get thinner.
