This is just what I think. There's nothing to do except for reading the description and looking inside. You can type the cloud ☁ icon. I don't know how it's possible to get more than 8 cloud variables into a project, even for older projects. I think when you save your project under a different name, older global variables become normal variables with the cloud icon in the beginning of their names. If you rename a global variable something else, the original variable reappears and the new one is "fake," since it doesn't work as a global variable. When you try to change the name of a "fake" global variable, the global variable symbol still stays in front of the new name you type, so a fake global variable created accidentally is still different from a normal variable with the cloud symbol typed in it.
