The Scheetz MK7 TRAVEL, made by Liechtensteiner coachbuilder Scheetz was unveiled in the 2000 Geneva Motor Show and began production in December of that year. The MK7 TRAVEL was built on the Ford Galaxy Ghia, retaining the front door panels, most of the front quarter panel, windshield, roof, wheels, and internals from the Galaxy. The styling and pricetag were criticized by the few people who actually purchased the MK7 TRAVEL. An extraordinarily rare armored version was produced for Liechtensteiner government officials, including Prince Hans-Adam II. Rumor says that they were retired as they ruined relations with Italy due to complaints from prestigious design houses. Only around 250 examples were ever sold, with many of them owned by collectors or long-forgotten. Most recently, a MK7 TRAVEL was sold at a Sotheby's auction for over $200,000. 2001-2004 Scheetz MK7 TRAVEL Engines: Gasoline: -2.3L I4 -2.8L V6 Diesel: -1.9L I4 Transmissions: -5 Speed Manual (2.3L I4) -6 Speed Manual -4 Speed Automatic (2.3L I4) -5 Speed Automatic
