The small red-brown apprentice looked around in wonder. This wasn't the Thunderclan camp. Many trees surrounded her, so tall she could barely see the top of them. Then she realized that the forest she was in was filled with stars. 'Am I in Starclan?' she wondered. Suddenly a silver cat with white stripes appeared beside her. The cat's eyes were shining and her pelt was glowing. "Silverstripe!" the apprentice exclaimed excitedly. It had been many moons since she had last seen her mother. "Greetings Berrypaw," Silverstripe replied, "I have missed you very much, but that's not why I'm here". "Do you have a message for me?" Berrypaw asked, her eyes glowing with excitement. She had never spoken to a Starclan warrior, let alone receive a prophecy from one. "Yes," her mother replied. "Are you sure you should be telling it to me?" Berrypaw asked, "Shouldn't you be giving prophecies to someone more experienced, like Honeyleaf or Moonstar?". "No," her mother replied, "this is your prophecy. Now listen carefully, 'Two small delicate buds might seem harmless, but when they bloom into flowers, together, they will be stronger than a whole clan.'"." What's that supposed to mean?", Berrypaw asked confused, but her mother was already fading away. Berrypaw woke up with a start. She peered outside of the medicine cat den. It was moonhigh. She went back inside and walked over to the light brown she-cat who was sleeping in the nest beside hers. She lifted a paw and prodded her mentor. "Berrypaw?" her mentor asked, still half asleep. "Why are you up so late?". "You're not gonna believe this Honeyleaf!" Berrypaw responded, still in a daze from her dream. "Believe what?" Honeyleaf asked now fully awake. "I had a dream from Starclan!". Excitedly Berrypaw told her all about the dream she had received from Starclan. "You must tell this to Moonstar immediately", Honeyleaf told her. Berrypaw left the medicine cat den and climbed up the rocks to the leader's den. She stood outside at the entrance to the den. "Moonstar," she called. Moonstar crawled out of his den. "What do you want? " he snapped. "I-l have to t-t-tell you s-something," Berrypaw stammered nervously. "Well, don't just stand there all day, tell me!" Moonstar exclaimed impatiently. Berrypaw explained the dream she had to her leader. "Silverstripe s-said 'T-two small d-d-delicate buds might seem h-harmless, but when t-they b-b-bloom into f-flowers, together, they w-will be s-s-stronger than a whole c-clan'" she told him. "Nonsense!" Moonstar exclaimed, "You wake me up in the middle of the night to tell me about a silly dream you had? Go back to sleep and do not bring this up ever again". "B-but-" Berrypaw stuttered surprised that her leader didn't believe her. "No buts!" Moonstar snapped, "now go away". Disappointed Berrypaw slunk back to her den and went to sleep.
