There are already some truly beautiful Mercator projections of Jupiter. (Just Google them- I tried linking an image here, but it made the description too long.) I'm only an amateur planetary vector cartographer, and couldn't ever do something so complex, so I thought I'd try something a bit different.
The picture on the thumbnail is from a random google search. I think it's from NASA, because nearly all of these planet photos seem to be.
