It’s a combo between a flightmare and a whispering death, for the dragon hybrid project! Woo! The waves of nostalgia that hit me when I drew this were amazing, I watched How to Train your Dragon religiously when I was younger.
The Brilliant Beguiler Class: Mystery Attack: 11 Speed: 8 Armor: 5 Firepower: 9 Shot limit: 3 Venom: 10 Jaw Strength: 5 Stealth: 15 The Brilliant Beguiler inhabits bogs and swamps, coming out from eventide to first light. It hides in the undergrowth, luring prey (or an unlucky human) in with flashes of bright, dazzling lights before spraying it with a mist that can knock out a titan Monstrous Nightmare. Vikings often mistook these lights for woodland spirits or ghosts, resulting in any place with these creatures in it quickly declared as haunted. Although these dragons have no taste for people, angering one will result in getting conked out in the middle of the swamp and waking in a completely new location which you’ll likely never get out of. Their normal diet mostly consists of fish, birds, the odd wild boar or two, and a startling amount of bioluminescent mushrooms. Baby Beguilers don’t start off with shiny scales, but it’s thought that they eat these mushrooms to slowly gain the ability to light up like an devilish, winged Christmas tree. Unlike the Flightmare, Beguiler can turn their glowing scales on and off on command. Without these on, their dark green coloring allows them to blend in seamlessly with the undergrowth during the daytime. At night, the creature becomes nearly invisible. But this beautiful plumage has the downside of soft skin, barely fireproof and prone to damage. As such, these dragons rarely seek fights, living in small friend or family groups of up to 15 individuals to keep strength in numbers. They have incredibly poor vision, navigating their world through sight and smell. Some say they can feel vibrations in the ground and air giving them an almost uncanny ability to sense their surroundings. Whether this is true or not remains a mystery, but there’s no denying that despite the lack of clear vision Beguilers don’t have any trouble finding their way around.
