About: This is a character tester -------------------- Notes: > Fullscreen is recommended (because why not) > There are walking animations and fluid movement. (when changing direction, there is a small delay for the legs to align) > The range of Pyrocat in one direction is limited to exclude aiming almost directly above and below him. Apart from that, he has a wide range (in both directions) > Vertical movement on ground is quite jittery due to collision detections :( > Turbo mode is not recommended (you would move at light speed and jump like a jackhammer). -------------------- Changelog: > Pre-release 1 • Pyrocat can walk and aim both left and right • He can shoot fireballs unaffected by gravity • He also can jump (SFX is from SMB Superstar Saga) > Pre-release 2 • Pyrocat's range slightly increased • Added targets • Fixed improper leg rotation • Fireballs can be toggled to fall down due to gravity • Collision detection improved a bit (there is jittery motion) > Pre-release 3 • Targets added • PP meter (orange) added to prevent infinite attacking (which is too OP) • SFX from Mega Man (NES) are added: 1) Energy fill 2) Player/Enemy defeated • Flame Man's stage theme added from Mega Man 6 (NES) • Health bar added (credit to ) • Can respawn targets • Fireball renamed to FireShot, and is only affected by gravity. (the option to remove gravity is removed) • Added new weapon: SolarDart (press 'q' to cycle through weapons) > Pre-release 4 • Reduced size of sprites for a slightly bigger playfield • HP meter added (yellow) • Pyrocat can die if he has 0 HP (anything lower is set to 0) • Enemy targets (Vile shooters) are added. They follow you horizontally and hover over you, with random offset. They send poison bullets flying at you that deal 4 damage. Cluster of Vile shooters = Bad! • Added intro scene where Pyrocat poses before running the simulation. • Song changed to Pharaoh Man's theme from Mega Man 4 (NES). • More SFX added from Mega Man 3 (NES). • Background changed to fit theme. • HP orb added
