WOWOWO STORY IN DESCRIPTION Btw tell me if you can think of a synonym for alleyway, right now I’ve got ‘back street’ but I also used ‘street’ in the sentence before it so— *maniac laughing I’m so proud even though this is like the crappiest piece of writing I’ve ever made I’m tired ok*
A splash followed every step I took, echoing through the damp streets. I was half expecting someone to jump out of each back street I passed. Unsettled, I trudged down the murky abyss that seemed to stretch on forever. I’m not that late, how mad could mom be? Clank! A hollow piece of metal hit the ground, drawing my attention to a particularly eerie alleyway. I squinted. Covered by the shadows, was it… a girl? Where’d they go? I guess nobody was there… I recognised the shape of my run-down porch in the distance, quickening my pace to a jog. Despite my best efforts, I winced as the creak of the door carried through the building. “[Name]! Where have you been? You worried me half to death you stupid boy,” called the sharp and painstakingly recognisable voice of my mother. Well, it was inevitable, wasn’t it? Of course she’d notice if I came home 1 hour late, dripping wet on her carpet. Especially if she’d spent the last half hour pacing the living room, pulling her own hair out. “I was 2 seconds away from calling the police! Oh you are in so much trouble boy,” she said, staring me down like an officer. She sighed, rubbing her temples. “Never mind. Now, it’s much past you’re bed time. I trust you’ve already had dinner, so get some rest,”. And even an hour later, as my mind was carried away to sleep, I couldn’t stop the dreams of a girl in an alleyway floating through my head.
