Welcome to Adopt a Cat! This game can get confusing if you do not read the rules first, so please continue reading. (Once you read the rules, click the flag **TWICE** because this project is buggy.) ----- 1. Click the arrows to choose your cat! Press the green button when you're done. 2. Name your cat! ----- 3. Here is a list of all the variables: - Energy: This is a good variable! The more energy, the better. Energy starts out at 50. It increases when your cat is sleeping, and decreases when your cat is playing. - Hunger: This variable is not good, and it starts at 50. The less hunger, the better. Your cat's hunger increases every five seconds, and decreases whenever your cat catches a fish. - Happiness: This is a good variable, which also starts at 50! It increases when you "pet" your cat by clicking it. It decreases every five seconds when you are not petting your cat. - Score: This is your overall score! It is calculated by (energy + happiness - hunger). Try to get the highest score possible! (Getting a good score is harder than it sounds! You have to constantly make sure the cat is happy, not hungry, and doesn't run out of energy.) - Global Highscore: This is the highest score out of everyone who has played the game! Can you beat the highscore and be the best cat owner on Scratch? - Variable Limits: No variable, except Score and Global Highscore, can go below 0 or above 100. Score and Global Highscore cannot go above 200. ----- 4. Here are all the features of the game! - Outside: Here, your cat can play Fish Catcher. Click "Play" to catch as many fish as you can! This will decrease your cat's hunger, but also decrease energy. - Inside: This is where your cat can sleep. Click "Sleep" to let your cat rest. This causes your cat's energy to go up. - Clicking the cat: This causes your cat's happiness to get higher! - Automatic Variable Changes: Every 5 seconds, your cat get 1% hungrier and 1% less happy. - Go Inside/Go Outside: If you are inside, click this button to go outside. If you're outside, click to go inside. ----- Comment any questions you may have, and I will add them to the FAQ!
This game is a work in progress. Please comment suggestions, and I will keep them in mind so I can improve this game! ----- FAQ: Q: Why did the Fish Catcher game randomly stop? A: Either your cat ran out of energy, or your cat is no longer hungry. Q: Is there a limit for the score and global highscore? A: Yes, they cannot go above 200. Can you be the first person to get a score of 200? Currently, no one has reached 200 yet! If you become the first to get 200, you will hold the highscore forever! :D Note: I found a bug that lets the highscore get to 201, or even 202! So the highest possible score is actually 202, not 200. Nobody has reached it yet, so try to reach 202! ----- Credits: Music - bensound.com Everything else - ----- Suggestions: - Make a game like this but with dogs instead (suggested by ) -----
