My Cat has a lot of stuff to do! First he has to feed his pet duck! And then there's a lot of other stuff, too. But he only has 30 minutes! How will he get everything done? (In this project, "seconds" represents "minutes".)
This project was inspired by talking with 2nd grade teachers as they demonstrate sequential addition. In a classroom, the prompt challenges students to build a personalized errand list. This model project (or something similar) is built together as a participatory narrative in a whole-group think-aloud.
