When she was just a baby, she lost her parents in a fire but was saved by some of the villagers, though they arrived too late to help her parents. She grew up in her grandmother's house on the outskirts of the village. Her grandmother was a witch, and she made a living by selling her healing salves and healing the ailments of the villagers with spells and potions. However, while the villagers were grateful to Lavender's grandmother for her service, they feared her at the same time. Such a powerful cat could easily use their powers for evil as well as good! Because of this, Lavender and her grandmother were viewed as outcasts, and Lavender was bullied a lot in school. Her only solace came in her lessons with her grandmother. In the evenings, Lavender would learn all the different herbs that were used to make potions and all the different spells that could close wounds and even grant others magically enhanced abilities. Lavender loved learning so much that she would stay up all night, either poring over her grandmother's notes, spell books, and recipes, or trying to create her own concoctions. After Lavender's grandmother died, she took over as the village healer. She was very hardworking and loved helping the villagers. Part of her hoped that someday they could stop being afraid of her. However, the most of villagers continued to be scared of her powers. Despite this, Lavender became best friends with one of the few cats who did not fear her and for a while, she was very happy. However, this did not last. Lavender's friend caught a fever. Despite trying every single spell, potion, and incantation, Nothing worked. Desperate, Lavender tried to use one of her own potions. Surprisingly, her friend got better and her fever lessened. Lavender was overjoyed until the next day when she found out that her friend had passed away during the night. The villagers blamed the death on Lavender, saying the potion Lavender made had gotten Lavender's friend killed. They exiled her and threw her out of the village. Now, Lavender wanders the forest, stopping in different villagers to help cure the villagers of any diseases but never staying for long. She lives as a traveling hermit, administering cures far and wide, earning a living off of selling healing potions. Though the guilt of her friend's death has stayed with her, Lavender is trying to regain confidence in her abilities and will not let her past mistakes stop her from helping others.
