The object of the game is to survive at Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria without being attacked by any of the animatronic enemy characters that roam from room to room from 12 o'clock to 6 o'clock at night. The game clock is approximately 7 minutes 6 seconds. The player cannot leave the security office but can monitor the movement of the animatronics through a network of surveillance cameras placed throughout the building. Office; It has three entrances, a corridor and two side vents, and unlike the previous game, none of them can be closed to prevent enemies from entering. Each ventilation entrance is equipped with a light that can be used to check if the characters walking around the office have come to the security office. Actor; may wear a mask to shield from an approaching animatronic character, but this strategy doesn't work for some characters that need to be repulsed by other means. The game also has a flashlight to check dark areas in the hallway and on the camera. The player can also use this to banish some animatronics that appear in the hallway. Unlike the previous game, the cameras and vent lights have unlimited power supply, but the flashlight doesn't have an unlimited battery life. If the flashlight's battery dies, the player becomes vulnerable to attack. In addition, there is a music box placed in one of the rooms and when the music stops, the music box must be constantly wrapped by the player over the camera in order not to be attacked by an additional animatronic.
