First we have the pyramids. I drew the actual pyramids with crayon, the sky and sand with watercolors, and the clouds with acrylic paint. Next, we have the beautiful Ramses II. This is an oil painting of his dead body. In the process of making this, I learned that I strongly dislike oil paints. I used all of my burnt sienna on this one painting and spent thirty minutes cleaning up. Finally, we have Hatshepsut. She was a pharaoh during the New Kingdom, and was one of the first female rulers. This portrait is a copy of one of her statues, and it is done in pencil.
