Picture this. The year is 2064. Your name is Jacob Jones. A Help Wanted poster has been placed in the newspaper. Apparently, a mechanic shop called Meyer's Motors is hiring a night watchman to make sure nobody breaks in after hours, and you decide to take the job. After your first shift, however, things start to rapidly spiral downhill. This job won't treat you kindly, and neither will the owner of the shop, Oliver Meyer. He'll spell your doom if you don't regularly use a repel system to send him back into the shadows. But oh, he's no fool. If you don't use this at appropriate intervals, he'll find his way into your office and make sure you meet your demise. Escape the Mechanic is a video game series exclusively on Scratch and takes on the form of a survival horror/action game, where the player assumes the role of a night guard at a mechanic shop called Meyer’s Motors and attempts to survive until 6 AM without being killed by the manager of the shop, Oliver Meyer. Press the button that says Repel to use the repellent and push Oliver back a bit. His progress will go up by one every 10 seconds, and if it reaches 10 he will get into your office. This means it will take him a total of one minute and forty seconds to get into the office. I also added limited power, if you run out of power you die. Now, since power goes down every 10 seconds, it would seem impossible to beat it, but I put in something not many think of — A generator. Whenever you are low on power and are at risk of death, simply click on the button that says “Generator” and it will put you back up to full. Bam, you’re saved. Alternatively, you can also press Space to use the repel and E to use the power generator. You can also click on the little thing that says Let’s Party to play a little party noise. It’s not much but it’s fun to do. So I fixed this weird unpatched set of code that allowed you to get Oliver's progress down below 0 so it's not way too easy (I did the same thing with the Restart and Ventilation in ETM 2). Also, if you’re wondering, yes, I voiced Oliver. Don’t criticize me. I’m still a kid. It took a long time to make this, well not that long but longer than some of my projects, so I would really appreciate if you could shoot a love and fav. Yes I know, when you die it keeps repeating some crap but I can’t figure out how to fix it so when you die just click the green flag again and restart the project. More versions coming soon!
It’s based loosely on Five Nights at Freddy’s so credit to Scott Cawthon for that, but other than that little detail all of this is 100% LeIngram-Bunn. I guess except for the audio I got from the Scratch library, but still.
