Hourglass, she/they <3 A sweet, creative sand/mud hybrid living in the outskirts of the Sand Kingdom with her brother, Adobe! She and her brother, both nine (21-or-so in human years :)), live in a small oasis hut. They have their own farm and water system, as well as a few "'apple juices'" from the scorpion den. Hourglass makes money for her and her brother via her artistic talents. She can easily create glass with her fire and sand, which makes for some interesting earrings and bracelets. Her left wing and eye were torn apart when her previous caretaker, a hot-tempered IceWing with scars he got from a fight with a SandWing years prior, took his anger out on Hourglass. She and her brother ran from the IceWing's hut later that night, landing them in the oasis they currently reside in. Despite her half-blindness and inability to fly, Hourglass lives a rather regular life. She will often be found basking on a rock she moved to the center of the oasis pond or drawing in the shade of a tree. She has many, many plants decorating her room along with a few gifts from her brother's travels (a piece of SkyWing armor talon crafted in the highest mountains, jewelry made by a SeaWing on one of the many, many islands in the Bay of a Thousand scales, a book about plants written by a hybrid in Possibility, etc). Even though her brother has a thirst for adventure, Hourglass is perfectly fine staying in the desert with the sweet, warm sun.
