Minkrose would sing Ferretkit and Cedarkit to sleep, as they were more of those kinda restless babies. They grew out of this restlessness eventually, but not before incident number 2. (yes. number 2 :'))) She sang multiple songs to them, but this one was really the only one Archskip knew well (he sang a lot as a young'un if you remember from the bonus chapters ;3). So, uh when Minky disappeared and Bluebelltail (basically who Minkrose made their godmother before she...) was left with some sleepless babies. So she did what any adoptive mom would do and made the kit's uncle sing to them against his will. Anyway. The song applies slightly better when Minkrose sings it to them considering...future things...bUT ARCHSKIP TRIED TO MENTOR THEM ALRIGT OKAY unTIL- i mean anyway. Maybe the last few lyrics he's not just talking about his nieces. :"))))
Also, those music notes mean when he's singing. When they're not there (particularly at the end) he's not singing. If you know these lyrics, congrats :'3 and those are leaves on his eye lol Song is Light by Sleeping At Last song is inside ;3 Archskip's probably singing it more quietly, slower, and overall it probably sounds more depressed
