Chapter Two: Going to the Office Students By; Shayde Detective Larson walked out of his apartment door and into the carpeted hallway of the complex. Down the hall, you could hear Ms Figg, a older women talking to her cats about what she remembered from World War 2. Ms Figg was nice, she invited Larson over for tea sometimes, but after about 30 minutes he always left. He passed Ms Figgs room, and went down the staircase. The stair case only went up 3 stories, and Larson was on the second story, so it wasn't much of a walk. The lobby was silent except for the piano music playing over the speakers. The lobby only consisted of the receptionist desk, which had a 17 year old, black haired and brown eyed girl named Lindsey. He went to the familiar glass doors of the building and walked out into the parking lot of the complex. There were only about 20 cars in the parking lot, which was more than usual for a Tuesday at 9 am. Larson turned to the black 2014 ford fusion, and walked to it. He unlocked the door and slid into the drivers seat. He shut the car door with a SLAM and turned the key to start the car, and pulled out of the parking spot. * * * Larson arrived at the police station at 9:14 am, it being a 12 minute drive from this complex. He pulled into one of the front parking spaces, turned off the car and slid out of the car. Taking in the brick building with shrubs in the front with glass doors. Oddly enough, his boss was waiting for him right outside of the front door. Larson walked to his boss. "Took you long enough." His boss, Ryan Cornejo, said in greeting. "Its a 12 minute drive." Larson shrugged. "Come on, this is a big case." Ryan turned, gestured for Larson to follow, and went inside the building. They walked through the lobby, which had a few couches, decorative plants, and a receptionist desk that was being occupied by a 25 year old man. Ryan turned left, heading into a hallway that had meeting rooms, offices, and the main case room. The main case room was self explanatory, it was a room were all the major cases were looked over by detectives and police officers, deciding their plan of rescue and action. Ryan walked past 12 doors, before opening the Main Case room and opening the wooden door for Larson to go in. END OF CHAPTER 2
