Oh, how I wish it was when We picked strawberries from the beautiful green forests And sang to the fairies Oh, how I wish it was when We ran barefoot, free And danced in the pouring rain Oh, how I wish it was when We leaped into the summer sun And thanked the trees for their kindness Oh, how I wish it was when We weren't bothered by a phone call or text And would sing our teddy bears to sleep Oh, how I wish it was when We only listened to happy music About colors and shapes, not money and murder Oh, how I wish it was when Our problems were as simple as "Who gets the cherry popsicle?" Oh, how I wish it was when We were happy, careless and free How I wish it was when, we were actually ourselves
[Second entry ^^] This is more of a nostalgia poem. Things that I actually believed were real and the activities I used to do then seemed so much more stress-less, fun and carefree. I would love to go back to those days, but I can only go back by writing about them. I hope you all can understand and relate to this poem, and if so, please leave a love or a favorite, check out my other art and have a nice day!!
