Worm stared out the dirty window with a sort of solemn look, though that was rather hidden by it’s black hair that hid it’s poisonous green eyes. The day seemed wonderful yet made the window look like a realistic painting that clung to the wall in an attempt to brighten the poor child’s mood, though it couldn’t. After all, nothing distracted Worm from how it’s parents always forgot it at home for too long, not even the sunlight that filtered through all the dirt on the window to warm the young child’s face, which was pale and sickly, as if it had never seen the sun or left the house. All the little cat-eared being had was whatever was left in the fridge. Thinking of that, the child realised just how hungry it was, being reminded about how it’s parents had forgotten to feed it the day before. Now’s as good a time as ever, I guess. With that thought, the child got up and headed to the kitchen to see what it could possibly find in the fridge, which would likely be the leftovers of what it’s parents had ordered the night before. “And today was supposed to be a family game night…” Worm couldn’t help but think about how many times it had ended up alone on a supposed family night, as it had happened many times before, even when there was a promise. “What’s so good about their smoky plant stuff anyways?” The cat ears that had been perked up before were now drooped, just like it’s mood had just thinking about what it’s parents would do all the time. Worm ended up finding leftover chinese food, which made it feel better as the food was it’s favourite. It grabbed the food and darted off to it’s room just in case it’s parents came back and caught it grabbing the food. Worm sat on it’s bed and pulled the semi-opaque curtains that hung around it’s bed closed as though to hide it’s eating. The room was easily the cleanest room in the entire house despite it being the room of a child. The light that lit the room filtered through the curtains around the bed to make a beautiful blue glow, highlighting the child’s pale face perfectly. The child’s soft black tail flicked across the sheets of the bed, making a quiet rustling sound. Worm looked out the window as it started eating, it’s green eyes glazing over as it sank into a deep sense of thought. Despite everything, the small child was still trying to think that it’s parents weren’t bad people, that everything happened for a reason, though that wasn’t the case anymore. Worm’s parents had been long gone in the mind. Having a child was never supposed to be the way it was, but the father was rather awful by then. Worm remembered how it’s father acted in the videos it found on the camera that it’s mother liked to use. It felt like something was wrong, but there was nothing to do about the whole situation. After Worm finished eating, it got up to throw away the trash, running to the kitchen to do so. It tossed the trash into the trash can before deciding that it wanted to wander outside, where it’d probably end up going to somebody’s house to play, as there was nothing fun for it in it’s own home.
