WARNING: KotLC spoilers abound! Don't read unless you've finished the series through book 8.5 (Unlocked). Alright then. Section 1: Councilors 1. Do you like Councilor Oralie? I wish she wasn't so fluffy. But yes. 2. Do you think the Council is too powerful? Absolutely. But then again, the Lost Cities are supposed to be a sort of nice dystopia, so it can't be too perfect. Besides, they give Sophie a good force to clash against. 3. Do you think the Council should control all of the intelligent species? Considering the *spectacular* job they did with the gnome plague (sarcasm added), absolutely not. Besides, the other intelligent species are doing just fine as it is. They are in no need of the elves' unique brand of self-centered hero complex. 4. Do you like Councilor Bronte? I didn't like him at first. I can understand him now. I still don't like him personally. 5. Why do you think the Council posed the Black Swan as public Enemy #1 in Everblaze? It's been a while since I've read that book, to be honest, but probably because they needed someone to blame for the super-scary Everblaze and the Black Swan was a convenient scapegoat. Section 2: Black Swan 6. Who do you think Blur is? I haven't really thought about it, to be honest. 7. Do you think Mr. Forkle has any other identities? It'd be unwise for Shannon to add more. I hope not. 8. Why do you think Prentice called Swan Song before he was arrested? Again, it's been a while since I've read it. I thought that was solved in the books, though. 9. Do you think Granite has any other identities? No. He can only keep up with so much. 10. Who is your favorite Black Swan Member? Probably Granite. Physic is really cool though, too Section 3: The Neverseen 11. Who do you think Glimmer is? A new character. Nothing else makes sense—she's obviously around Sophie's age (or she wouldn't have been fangirling over Tam like that) but any possibilities have been seen at the same time as she's been seen, ruling them out. For Shannon's sake I hope she keeps Glimmer just a new character. 12. Do you think the Neverseen is tracking Sophie in any way? (With trackers, homing devices, listening devices, or anything else) Probably. Lady Gisela doesn't strike me as a quitter. 13. Do you think Glimmer is trustworthy? She's out for herself and only herself, at least for the time being. If Sophie can convince Glimmer their goals line up, Glimmer will help her. If not, then not. 14. Do you think there is any way Umber or Brant are still alive? Without getting too into detail, Shannon described things well enough to decide that. Both are definitely dead. Unless one will pull a Forkle on us and magically have an identical twin, they are long gone. 15. Do you think the Neverseen have lots of members that we are unaware of, or not? They probably have a few kept in their back pocket that we haven't seen yet. Four or so. Not "lots" by any means. Section 4: Characters 16. Who do you ship with Sophie? At this point, "cuteness factor" aside, Keefe is the best match for her. And she for him. 17. Do you like Keefe? He's a complex character who's struggled at times, and still struggles, but ultimately tries his best to make the right choices. So yes. 18. Do you like Tam? I admire his devotion to Linh. But he's too invested in the dark side, and it's sucking him in. He's interesting, but I can't like him. 19. Do you like Fitz? I would if he had gotten more character development. Alas, he has not, and we're left with a rich kid with anger issues. So no. That said, Sophitz (and shipper) hate is out of hand. It's undoubtedly the worst part of the KotLC fandom. 20. This question has two parts. A: Who is your favorite female character? B: Who is your favorite male character? My favorite female character is probably Marella—she's a strong girl who doesn't get enough credit. And my favorite male characters are Keefe, because of his realistic struggles, and Dex, because of his relatability. They're tied B) also- yes, the design over <-------- thataway is nowhere near quality. but it is fine B)
