HEY GUYS ITS CAT AGAIN WITH ANOTHER CHAOTIC PROJECT TO HOPEFULLY MAKE YOUR DAY ikik this isn't grishaverse, but im running out of ideas- i just watched the fanmade musical of this and i read the book a while ago, and i can't stop thinking about it. but today we'll be talking about my review on heartless, by marissa meyer (the queen- of hearts) OKAY LET'S START: total rating: 5/5 this book was so freaking good. i loved the concept of it, the characters, and i love how marissa made cath (the queen of hearts) such a softie and a sweetheart, until the tragedy happened and she turned cold. after the book was over i sat there in my room for THREE HOURS, staring at the ceiling and trying to escape reality into the kingdom of hearts. character ratings: catherine pinkerton - 4.9/5 catherine (cath) is literally such a girlboss. she's so iconic, an amazing feminist, she's just the best. she also becomes the queen of hearts, who, even though she's the bad guy in alice of wonderland, is still slaying through the day lskdjfksjdflk- the only reason why i gave her a minus 0.1 is because of the ending- that ruined me- like it /ruined/ me. jester (jest) - 10/5 this man is literally the picture perfect man- he's flirty, attractive, funny, respectful, just everything you would want if you're someone like me- he always says the perfect thing, and just- AAAAH I LOVE HIM SO MUCH SO SO SO SO SO MUCH!!! what can i say, he's a man written by a woman <3 the cheshire cat (cheshire) - 5/5 cheshire is literally so funny and iconic, i'm so mad that the heartless musical (will be explained later) didn't include himmmmm- but he's literally so funny and every single line of his made the entire book omlll raven - 4.5/5 raven is honestly so underrated- like he's so funny and sarcastic, literally a mood. (also definitely a capricorn if you believe in that type of stuff)! also (SPOILER: you know how in the end he's made into thinking that he's the one who does the murder, but then turns out to be catherine's only friend left? yeah i love that sm) the mad hatter (hatta) - 4/5 dudeeee i love him- hatta is so funny and crazy (or should i say /mad/), his entire character, backstory and concept is so well made- i just love him vm the king of hearts - 1/5 literally you svck- you're such a chicken and catherine would make a better queen than you- THE FREAKING CHESHIRE CAT WOULD BE BETTER THAN YOU. only giving you one bc you were the reason jest and cath met bc you made him your court joker. mary ann - 2/5 okay listen- at the beginning you were good- great even, (SPOILERS: but like literally EVERYTHING could have been avoided if you didn't snitch like girl-and then you have the AUDACITY to ask to be catherine's maid? like girl nahhh-) otherwise you were a really good best friend for her until /that/. the marchioness and marquess - 0/5 you did nothing for catherine that was good for her. you only cared about her until it was too late. and you still think to call yourselves her parents? literally go home you did NOTHING for her the three sisters - 3/5 ngl i kinda liked the concept of these three, but they creeped me out- but its not like i can blame them for anything bc it's not like /they/ made that happen- right? margaret mearl - 3/5 ngl you were kinda funny and good at the end, but in the beginning i hat3d u sm like dont get me started- sir peter (peter peter) - 0/5 no. jabberwock - 0/5 also no, but i feel bad for you jack the knave, the white rabbit, the duke of tuscany, haiga, kinda literally everyone else - 3/5 you all were pretty so-so, except jack. you svck. do i recommend this book? DEFINITELY PLEASE READ IT AND LET ME KNOW THE SECOND YOU START IT OR EVEN THINK OF READING IT LITERALLY WE CAN BECOME BEST FRIENDS AFTER THAT LIKE PLEASE DO <3 dude literally read this book, marissa meyer is the queen of storybook retellings (cinder, scarlet, cress, winter, etc) <3 CONVINCING YOU TO READ HEARTLESS: right person wrong time trope all of catherine's bakinggg >>> literally will have you as a sobbing mess on the floor wonderland and all of it's characters jest magic card tricks wonderland by taylor swift literally describes this book perfectly, go listen to it (also for all you swifties) so what are your thoughts on this book, and have i convinced you to read it?
