Welp, guess what show I just became obsessed with?..... In "The Owl House", it's stated that when you receive your palisman (which is basically a magic staff), you don't choose it~ it chooses you. You state your absolute greatest desire to it, and it will choose whether or not it respects/shares your values. My palisman~ Oxfie~ is a cross between a wolf (which represents loyalty) and an ox (which represents stubbornness). She's about 1.5" tall, and she attaches to the palisman with the symbol on the bottom of her hooves! All of that technically is written on the paper, but the picture quality is absolute trash, so...
