A demo of my unfinished game Finally, Demo 2 is out! I hope you enjoy it, this took MONTHS to complete. Partially because this is just a one-man project, and I nearly gave up on this game because of one bug that almost ruined everything. Arrow keys to move Press Z to Jump Press down while running to roll Sonic's Abilities: Press Z while in the air to dash across Press down+z while standing still to activate the spindash, and press z repeatedly to charge the spindash, release down to release the spindash Tails Abilities: Press Z while in the air to activate the fly mode. Repeatedly press Z to go higher and higher. You can't fly for too long, Tails will eventually get tired and start falling to the ground. The flying ability useful for getting to high places you normally can't as Sonic. Press down+z while standing still to activate the spindash, and press z repeatedly to charge the spindash, release down to release the spindash. Tips: You can gain speed by rolling off or on slopes The dash ability can be used to generate speed quickly.
8/12/2022 Fixed holes in the geometry that was visible during normal gameplay and especially on full screen. (Only done to Act 1, Act 2 will get this fix soon) Also made Sand Hill Act 1's geometry make more sense Changes since Demo 1: The dash ability is now easier to control (You can dash right just using the right arrow key, and use the left arrow key to dash to the left!) Added Tails as a playable character A secret unlockable character you can get by beating the game! Added a boost ability! and, it's a secret function, that can be activated only by switching the "boost" variable's value from 0 to 1. you can activate the boost by holding X. It's basically Modern Sonic's boost! You can boost through enemies and destroy them all! All-new acts! A WIP Menu with a character select! The collection sound when you collect a ring now switches from ear to ear! Most noticeable when wearing headphones. The object sprite has been partially rewritten to use clones! This fixes many bugs and allows for much better and more refined coding. There is an explosion when you destroy enemies! There are some unused objects that you can use in custom levels! There is an object you wouldn't expect to be in there... You lose rings and get bounced back when you run into an enemy! And the scattered rings are collectible!
