Welcome to the conlang creator! This is a simple project for you to create and record your conlang. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Anyways, what is a conlang? "Conlang" is the short for "constructed language"; it's an artificially created language that is not naturally evolved. Some famous languages that you might know but isn't aware of such as Klingon, Elvish and Esperanto are all conlangs. With this program, you can create a language of your own too! So, are you excited to make one of your own? If yes, just click the "Start button" when you run the script, and take a photo of each section at the end when you finish! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Instructions: If you do not know how to use this, here is a set of instructions to follow: 1 - click the start button 2 - the first screen asks you to enter the consonants for your language; if you cannot decide, just enter default. It will then ask to check if they are correct, enter the appropriate response here. 3 - after you have confirmed the previous step, you will then move onto the vowels. Repeat the steps above and again, if you can't decide, just enter "default" again. 4 - for the final step of completeing the phonetic inventory, choose whether you want to separately record the ending consonants, i.e. coda consonants. If you chose to do so, please enter the consonants that you want; and just as before, just enter "default" if you can't decode. 5 - Now you will be making the script for your conlang. First, read through all the information, then choose the type of script that you want. 6 - This is the interesting bit: you get to create your own characters for your script! 7 - After you have completed all the characters, you will now be doing the grammar structure for your language by entering the each component in order. 8 - Finish the grammar and continue on to orthography, the arrangement of sounds in your language. Follow the instructions and complete this section. 9 - After you have completed 8, the basics of your conlang is complete! Now you can click the four buttons shown to see each section of your language! (The word generation is not complete, sorry for that) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Apologies: For those of you who is not satisfied with the project, I apologise for the inconvenience. I only heard about this event two days before the submission date, therefore this was made rather rushed. For this reason, many functions that I wanted to include did not make it in. You would have noticed too that plain default lists have appeared in the project: this is also due to the lack of time to develop a full text system for the project. In addition to this, I was also not able to create a more advanced writing system creator. In sum to this, I'm sorry that I wasn't able to create the best experience possible...
Thank you to everyone who is using this project right now! Please share this with others if you can so that they can know about conlanging too! Thank you to Raspberry Pi for this opportunity to share my project. Enjoy! (And please report any bugs to my profile message wall)
