there are many stereotypes of japan, now reducing it to all anime and ramen. it actually has now become and 'aesthetic', calling it 'japan aesthetic' or 'japancore'. this kind of died down a few months ago, but there are still people going on about the 'sussy baka' trend. first of all what is sussy got to do with anything- and second, the word 'baka' is japanese for 'stupid'. of course, calling someone stupid is not funny, and mocking japanese like that is disgusting. and the fact that the word 'sussy' (originated from the word sus, which originated from the word suspicious) was added to the start is so wrong. and thats not everything. in anime, the protagonist (females) are usually portrayed as cute, innocent, quiet etc. this image also affects their voices as well, which surprise surprise, people mock too. the voice okay, thats not really a big deal, but the actual jApanese when they dont know a single word or phrase about it! another thing is using katakana as symbols. like this for example, シ ッ ツ ヅ, people who dont understand the language will most likely see it as a smiley face. i admit, i did too. but people using it as a symbol? there are at least 2 copy-and-paste smiley symbols and a bunch of smiley emojis. please note that if you are learning japanese/know japanese/is japanese its okay to use japanese honorifics (like the word kawaii). i hope this educated you:)
