i tried a more realistic approach on this. the body, after sitting there for a while, has turned blue (slightly, you have to look hard to see it) and rigor mortis has started to set in. the blood isn't perfectly red, because the reason we stated earlier. if the body has sat there for a while, the blood would've started to turn crusty and brown. the cut seemed small, after all, i made the weapon a sushi knife, a knife very sharp. a sharp knife could cut deep, but since it would go through the body quickly, the cut would be smaller in size (i think lol). for me a smaller cut = less blood. thats why i put a small amount of blood. theres only one wound, i was too lazy to draw more lol
