Amber gasped. The Nightwing’s eyes glittered, focusing on Azure. “Recognize me?” he smiled. Azure stepped a few cautious steps toward the stranger. “Darktalon? Is that you?” Azure asked incredulously. “How did you find us? Is your dad still trying to kill us?” “Slow down!” he laughed. “Yes, it’s me. I actually didn’t mean to find you, but I was flying over, and I saw you guys. You know, being all different colors is going to draw some attention to yourselves. You’re going to have to be careful. Not everyone thinks it's ok for dragons of different tribes to hang around each other, much less for them to be a family.” “That must be why Cinder and Orca didn’t want us to go out and see the world so young…” Viper said sadly. Darktalon smiled at him kindly. “So what are your names?” he asked. “I’m Amber. It’s nice to meet you,” she said kindly. He nodded at her. The rest of the dragonets introduced themselves as well, and although everyone was polite, there was a noticeable tension in the air. Fateshifter sighed. “I hate to be a bump on the log, but Ostrich- the dragon in my vision- isn’t here. She’s in the Sky Kingdom and if we want to find our parents, we need to go now. We have a long flight over those mountains ahead.” “Why isn’t she here?” Amber asked, frustrated. “We came all the way here to find her and now we have to go to the Sky Kingdom! And where would we even find her? It's not like we can figure out where she is…” she glanced at Fateshifter. “Why are you looking at me like that?” he asked suspiciously. “Have another vision! It worked last time!” she practically shouted. With a quick glance around to make sure none of the village residents heard them, she continued in a lower tone. “If it doesn’t, so what? We know the general area right?” Fateshifter hesitated, and glanced around at the others. “Does everyone agree with this plan?” When they all nodded he took a deep breath. “Ok… here goes nothing,” he said and closed his eyes, his brow crinkling in concentration. “Is it working?” Darktalon whispered. “We’ll know when he’s done,” Azure said gently. “Last time we couldn’t tell if he had one or not until he told us.” Darktalon nodded and sat back waiting. The dragonets shifted, getting restless. Suddenly, Fateshifter’s eyes popped open, eyes white, and his voice sounded strange when he spoke. Deeper almost. “The sought for, held in a palace of stone, suffering the wrath of the monarchs who seek revenge.” Amber’s spines stood up, and she took a few steps back, exchanging a look with Ocelot when he crumpled to the ground, out cold.
