Made for my English class Tap to move Written component: Fablehaven by Brandon Mull is a story about Kendra and her brother, Seth, who go to their grandparent’s house for them to have a place to stay while their parents are on a cruise. However, what they didn’t know is that their huge garden and backyard is actually a nature reserve. And instead of common animals and plants, it contains a plethora of magical creatures that to the naked eye appear as regular animals. After Kendra solves a puzzle hidden in the attic involving a series of keys, she discovers a message: “Drink the milk”. They saw butterflies and dragonflies drinking and crowding over a dish of milk, they assumed that that was what it meant. After drinking it, they are able to see the true form of the creatures. This leads them to fall victim into traps, tricks, and other things that they would not have experienced were it not that they knew about this. This unique concept of having mystical creatures tucked away in a remote part of the world where no one can find them is exciting, as it can lead to more interesting ideas such as how laws and rules apply, where they get the special milk, the magical processes of people turning into animals, and more. The book is fast-paced and intense throughout the second half, but it still manages to make things easy to understand and it doesn’t feel rushed. Sorry if this is isn’t as good as my other games, I had a pretty short deadline
