Press green flag. Minute version: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1100400901/ The concept is simple: every hour, a Scratcher is selected randomly to be the worldwide "Scratcher of the Hour." It is the same person on all devices (it is cloud-based). (It might be a second or two delayed, also.) Sorry New Scratchers, this project won't work for you, due to reliance on Cloud Variables. Note that occasionally the server will be down for a few minutes/hours/days. It restarts automatically. Note that remixes of this project will not work unless you have the same script.
Please note: This is run on my computer. The server can go down at any time without warning. If this happens, comment "Server's down" @Dinosu for the original project and the python code. @Sid72020123 for "scratchconnect" (2022) @TimMcCool for "scratchattach" (2024) Update logs: Alpha test: Made it work. Beta test: Testing the "Scratcher of the Hour". v1: release v1.1: simplified the Seconds to never hit 60, but to hit 0 instead. v1.1.1: changed the format to be like a countdown clock. v1.2: added a variable so you know how much time you must wait on the please wait screen. v1.3: added a better way to check if servers down. v1.3.1: fixed a critical error which was causing the server to appear as down. v1.4: added "Error" to the error screens. v1.5: added a way to detect new scratchers from not signed in scratchers.
