Pre-training week teaser (start) It was a lovely morning, the skies were clear, the sun was out, everything was peaceful and quiet. Only Romaira Phyllis, the golden garde of romance (@lilac_panda34) , was having, well- not exactly the greatest of mornings. "Ugh, the stupid eyeliner smudged!" she grumbled to herself. "I spent an hour on it, and it was /perfect/." She looked into the mirror, trying to fix it, or whatever she really /could/ do to make it better. Luckily, her best friend, her /only/ friend, in the golden palace, Diantha Fleur, the golden garde of apperances (@hxgwartsxobsxssed), was visiting. She walked into Romaira's quarters, eating an apple. As always, Diantha could tell when Romaira was upset, and it wasn't just because of her hair color- which was a dark shade of orange, resembling a bad mood. "Your eyeliner's smudged" she said, taking another bite of her apple. "Want me to fix it for you?" Romaira sighed, "yes /please/" she exhaled loudly. Diantha laughed slightly, setting her apple down. "Alright" she said, now amused. "Stay still" she ordered, setting Romaira down on her chair. Romaira rolled her eyes, but obeyed silently. Diantha then pulled out her kit, and picked out a nice shade of midnight black. "Hold still," she said, as she took her left hand and held Romaira's face, holding her back. Her right eye waved over her smudged eye, and, in an instant, her eyeliner was fixed and perfectly straight. She did the same on the other eye, "lips too or just the eyes?" she asked, with a hopeful smile. Using her magic was her favorite thing to do, and Romaira knew it. Romaira sighed, "Both please- got to /make an impression/" she said, using air quotes. "For what?" Diantha asked, now curious. She waved over her lips, causing them to look pink and plump, and soft. She moved onto her eyelashes next. "I don't know" Romaira said, shrugging slightly. "I was asked to see symonne and ten later." Diantha stepped back slightly, in surprise. She had visited symonne and the ten before, but lately they had all been closed off from the world- even those special enough to be taken at the age of 3, to train early and live in the golden palace. But quickly, she covered up her surprise. "Oh?" Diantha mumbled, moving onto her brows and jawline next. "Now, this won't hurt unless you make it hurt" she said. But when she saw the look on Romaira's face, she stopped. "I'm kidding, it won't actually change your jaw, it's just a disguise." Romaira blinked a few times before glaring. "That wasn't funny-" she tried to make her tone serious but burst out laughing. Diantha laughed along with her. "Stop making me laugh or it actually /will/ change your jaw forever" she said, not joking this time, but still in a humorous way. "I like my jaw though" Romaira complained. "Alright" Diantha said, laughing. "Fine, onto the blush." Diantha swiftly added a rosy pink spot on Romaira's cheeks, and once she was done she slammed her case shut. "Do you need clothes? I have something in my wardrobe if you do" she said. Romaira nodded, and Diantha ran to her quarters and back, with three dresses on coat-hangers. "Try them on, and make sure to show me" she said. Romaira tried on the first dress, a pink flowy one. "It clashes" Diantha said, her finger to her lips, in thought. "Try the next one?" The second one was a midnight blue dress, that went down to the floor. It was tight, and the skirt had a slit nearing the end. Diantha shook her head, "it's cute on you, but showing too much- so-" she paused, "not presentable to your parents and the gods. Keep it for later. Try the next one?" she said now, "I have high hopes for it" Romaira hestitantly took the last dress, a golden one, and put it on. When she came out of the dressing room, Diantha gasped. "This is the one!" she exclaimed, rushing over to her. Romaira was about to speak, when she heard a knock at the door. Diantha strode across the room and swung both doors open dramatically. Standing there was a guard, "yes?" Diantha asked him, waiting. He cleared his throat and spoke. "Romaira, goddess of romance," he said, now addressing Romaira, "your presence is required. You know what to do" he said with a quick nod. Romaira groaned as Diantha gave her a questioning look, but she wouldn't meet her eyes. Romaira nodded and rushed off, giving Diantha only moments to look at her face. Diantha knew that something was off, afterall she had been her best friend, so she could always tell. A good thirty seconds after she left the room, Diantha disguised herself invisible. It had been something she recently learned, and she wasn't particularly skilled at the concept, so she was only partially invisible- but it would have to do. She then followed, trying to make no sound as she walked. Romaira found herself in a giant advisor room and looked around. "What are we doing here-?" she asked, looking up. She almost froze at the sight. Sitting at the head of the table, was Symonne.
(cont) On the sides were the ten- Bijun, Texotz, Drozara, Reraura, Thoris, Megros, Ynera, Rhatyxz, Xeaos and Vuventa, all sitting in rich robes and material. Even in a small peasant room, they looked like they were royalty. "Romaira Phyllis, golden garde of romance" symonne's voice boomed, echoing throughout the room. "We have an important matter to discuss." Reraura, the goddess of dreams stood up, her chin held high. "We have news of Cyrus and his location. I'm afraid he will be attacking soon, and he is quite closer to that than we ever thought was capable." Diantha could barely keep in her gasp, as Ynera, the goddess of knowledge and wonder, spoke. "I'm afraid we need your help." she said, her voice as calm as water. Megros, the deity of animals, then spoke up. "The people are not strong enough for war," they said, "we really thought we had more time to prepare them." Bijun and Drozara nodded in agreement, but symonne cleared his throat, his voice booming over all the commotion. "If you can find someone capable with an idea on how we can train them all before the war starts, please speak up now." he said, his commanding voice sounding almost as if he was begging her. Romaira looked around, nervous, and Diantha could tell there was nobody or any ideas that she had. 'Gods' Diantha thought to herself, 'screw this.' She then released her invisibility, showing her true self. The guards pointed their weapons towards her, symonne straightened his back and tensed his shoulders- alarmed. The ten were all raising their hands, prepared to use magic, Romaira cried out, her eyes widening, but Diantha kept her chin held high, as her voice rang above all else. "I have an idea."
