Fern found AshClan after moons of searching. She didn't want to be in a clan, but decided it was the best for her kit. Taking the name Ferntuft, she gave birth to Sparrowkit. Ferntuft didn't trust any of the other cats around her or her kit. She would always bring Sparrowkit outside whenever she could, mainly at night. Sparrowkit was the only kit in Ferntuft's litter. One night, when Sparrowkit had just turned an apprentice, Ferntuft decided to leave the clan. She asked Sparrowpaw to come with her, but Sparrowpaw wanted to stay in the clan.
