i just want to say dawn is bean. literal bean. he is so fun to draw, and I really like this scene :) enjoy! <33 1. Sketch - This is the base of the character, where it's going to be an it's pose. This usually takes me about 3 minutes. 2. Rough Sketch - I make a few lines to make an idea of the character in a darker color (i forgot to lower the opacity of the sketch arghhh) This usually takes me about 2-4 min 3. Lineart - I go over the rough sketch. (10 - 20 min) It depens wether you like the lineart or not. If you don't, the process will take you more time :) 4. Coloured lineart - I color the lineart using alpha lock with the right colors, to make the drawing look more natural. I recently started doing this, so don't ask any tips haha ;-; This usually takes 5-10 min 5. Coloring - I color in the drawing, focusing on the details, because this character has a ton of them, which I love when it comes to drawing. This usually takes 20 - 30 minutes. 6. Shading - I usually use a dark color to give hue to the character, such as dark purple or dark blue, it depends on the scene you're working on. Then I use the transparent color and erase the parts where the lighting is going to go. 7. Lighting - I use a light color (in this case i used white) and color in the parts where the light is exposed the most. 8. Background - I make the background. 9. Cloud - I add the cloud and it's shading and lighting. 10. More lighting - To make the drawing more natural, I add more lighting as the sun is a big light source, and I also want to practice sky-sunset scenes. 11. Finished drawing! :D
