--Context-- Piper is in the student council at her school, but she doesn't feel like anyone in her class likes her, let alone appreciates everything she's been doing for them. Good morning, everyone. I know it might be a little bit weird for me to do this, but I just wanted to get this off of my chest: It feels like you guys hate me. I'm not going to sugarcoat it. It really, genuinely feels like you guys hate me. Even still, I joined the student council. Do you want to know why? I did it for you. I joined because I wanted to give you guys the best school I possibly could. I helped fund the school dance, I'm helping convince the principal to make the bottled water here free, and I'm helping organize spirit weeks. And I'm not the only one. There's about 13 kids in the student council, counting me, and we're really trying our best to make our school and community a better place. But even still, you guys act like you don't care. Heck, maybe you really don't. And you guys especially don't care about me. Every day-- and I'm not naming names-- people constantly put me down and literally say to my face they don't care. It's had quite the effect on my mental health. Ever wonder why I'm so into musicals? Because it's easier for me to connect with them than a lot of you. But back to student council for a bit. Right now, we're organizing another donation. As you've heard before, we're working with a local charity to give important toiletries to those who need them. And I really wish I could be there to give those things to them, see the smiles on their faces, and just see people be grateful and happy for a change. I sure don't see it here. So, after putting up with all of that for 8 months, and finally getting it off of my chest, all I ask is for one small, simple thank-you in return.
