Attention! By playing this game, you acknowledge that you have exposed yourself to extreme difficulties and potential frustration. Proceed with caution. Also, there are a great many bugs which I am aware of, but have run out of motivation and can't find a way to fix (broken collision, occasional softlocks, player getting stuck in wall and finishing the game early). This is a concept for a rage game which I came up with in July 2022. The idea is that your player is very fast, and that if you collide with the side of a block at a high enough velocity, your player will become temporarily stunned and will continue falling straight down until you reach solid ground. The brown tiles are ones which you pass through if you are either falling quickly, or are stunned fro a previous collision, and you can also run through the side after jumping (although this will stun you after reaching the other side.) The pink carpets are bounce pads which will launch you up in the air, but if you touch the wall while being launched upward at these high speeds, you will become stunned. The screens of the level are connected vertically, and so you are able to lose progress if you fall back down. (You can also use this to your advantage by falling onto a bounce pad from a previous area in order to carry the momentum into the screen above.) *hint hint* There are 3 checkpoints, represented by green boxes. If you get stuck or if the collision bugs out, you can press R to return to the closest checkpoint on a lower floor. (If you press R on floor 5, you will be sent to a previous checkpoint even if you have activated one on floor 6. This prevents abuse of the R key-- it's a rage game, after all!) There are 10 levels, each one being even more infuriating than the last. Can you beat them all?
Music is Epiphany by @PozrodMusic (me) Character art by @Za-Chary --- The original idea was that your character would be a humble pizza delivery guy, who arrives to make a delivery at an apartment building, only to find that the customer lives on the tenth floor! What's more, the elevators are taped shut, with a note reading: "Elevator out of order. Please take the stairs." Since the building is so old, the stairs have crumbled away, almost to the point of being completely impossible to climb. But you won't let that stop you: there is a job to do! A pizza to deliver! A customer to satisfy! And a tip to collect! --- Here's a link to a version with unfinished pixel art: WARNING! The collision in that one is EXTREMELY buggy!
