Name: Elowynn; Winnie Age: 16 Sexuality: Pan Pronouns: she/they/her Backstory: An eye that was glued to the sky and a thought to fly in ones dream, was desirable in the eyes of Elowynn. During summer in the golden wheat fields she would spring towards the beaming sun, however land back down with soft thuds and to her dismay, without wings. She would amuse herself with her impossible wish, though absence of wings disappointing, it was expected. As she strolled back to her cosy home, she would pass a goose farm and stare at the snow feathers in awe, until a feather landed softly on her nose, which gave her a hopeful idea. Weeks past and she collected feathers to design her very own wings, and after the process was complete, she placed them flamboyantly on her back and harnessed them in place. She raced to the yellow field and tossed herself high into the air through a breeze...but her joyous smile turned into horror as she saw feathers twirl into the air from her back, like a swarm of locusts from a crop field. As she landed on the wheat floor with a crunch, she watched her hard work disappear into thin air, and she hadn't properly flown for a mere second. On her habitual rout back home, she walked rather slowly. Crystal specks falling from her eyes to the ground, giving it a glossy shine. She was swarmed further disappointment, not only for the reason her idea hadn't worked, also for the fact her effort was swept away with ease. When she heard the familiar harmonic honking from the goose farm, she slowly looked up and saw the familiar white feathers, all geese running around, except for one. One on the floor, one honking louder and more desperately than the rest, one with a wing bent a sickening angle; One who needed help. Elowynn rushed over and climbed over the fence, causing the geese to automatically create a distance between the predator. The helpless goose on its back paddled its legs for stance in panic, however Elowynn had already swooped it up using her nose and let it balance on her head. The geese watched in confusion as Elowynn carefully climbed back over the fence and headed home. She placed the goose on her bed and gently lay its head on her pillow as she looked to examine the wing. Just because she couldn't fly doesn't mean she should let another lose the ability to. After inspecting the wing, she came to the conclusion that the bone has been snapped, therefore she aligned the bones and used a bandage as a cast to wrap over it. Weeks passed by and a friendship bonded between Elowynn and the goose, she would carry it around to meet the other geese and take it to the field to watch the sun set. The goose healed right when the flock was meant to migrate for the winter. Elowynn was delighted for her friend to be better, but sadness shaded her feelings a touch more blue. She would be lonely without the goose, though the other animals came to stay for Winter with her. After she watched her feathery friend fly home, she found a note on her bed, which read: "Dear my kind Winnie, I have enjoyed spending the months with you and I am unhonkably grateful for your kindness in helping me, I hope to see you again very soon, good friend. Love Darcey" Elowynn felt very special to have her name personalised to the goose, and all together hid embarrassment from never knowing the goose's name. And from a knock at the door, Elowynn finally drew her eyes from the beautifully written letter and went to open her wooden door to find none other than Darcey! The goose jumped into her Winnie's arms and they hugged...yet far in the forest, a sacred tree recognised Winnie's kindness and heard her wish, and as the angel she was, Elowynn was gifted with wings. (and woke up screaming the next morning out of very mixed emotions lol) If I win her I will use her in a story called Silvestris Creek
