[] Green flag x2 + watch :) [] eww timing is off sometimes just bc of how scratch works :( Welcome to Pyxis, a collaborative game almost 2 years in the making!! :D Intro: Hi! My name is Koii and I am a teenage artist who has been on scratch since the 2nd grade :) I'm known among my friend groups and family for being super ambitious and starting huge projects but dropping them after a couple of days. My goal for Pyxis was to involve as many people from the scratch community and actually finishing this project. Pyxis Lore (Basic): The story takes place somewhere out there in the universe, celestial beings known as "The Star People" protect and rule over this part of the universe, these people are born from the energy created as stars die. Our story follows Orion as he lands on an unknown planet without his memories. He soon starts to realize that something devastating has happened to this land. The more he searches for the truth, the more he learns about himself. Not all of it is good. What is Pyxis? Pyxis is an interactive story game first created around April 27th 2021. The goal for this project was to bring together the many niches here on scratch and combine them into a beautiful story. The story and character designs have been created by over 20 artists. and we're hoping to include even more artists, musicians, singers, and writers as we continue to create this project! Is it to late for me to be involved? ofc not! This projects has barely even started. We may have the main character designs and plot points, but we're still missing a lot of major lore. Not to mention all the music and code we'll need for the actual game. If you're interested in taking part feel free to comment in the official studio and forum! Posting projects is also 100% welcome. Story writers: Message me! I would like to mention that you will know a lot of spoilers when it comes to lore. If you'd like to keep at least a lil of it a surprise, I could give you only a part of the lore and you can come up with some extra stuff. Mostly just need help with some character/world building stuff. :) Artists: We still need some building designs (I suck at those) and an official map would be cool. The main characters have been 100% designed but the creatures of Pyxis are still in development :D Let's not forget we'll also need background artists, animators and just regular artists for all the art that's going to be found in the game. This may be a lil difficult bc i would like to keep some parts of it consistent but there's still a lot you can do! Singers/songwriters: This is basically the most important part missing so far. I cannot sing, as much as I wish I could I don't know anything about it. A lot of the lore and storytelling will change and mold a bit depending on the songs. You have 100% free range with these we'll need: - Basic looping nature kinda music for regular gameplay. (diff ver for a night w/ crickets) - cutscene songs (v important) These will be super connected w the lore. (I can give the diff cutscene background info to help w/ lyrics and song mood :) ) Sound effects: Prolly the easiest part :) Pls avoid using the ones alr found on scratch but ones found on the internet/made by u are find. some we'll need will include: - Walking sound - Wind -crickets -snarling/growling -magic kinda sound -falling -fight noises?? etc :D Coders: I will be specifically looking for certain things but you'll be basically coding the whole game bc i'm useless :D I'll try to add more specific things later on but make sure you know more advanced-ish coding? I was going to make it myself but I have 0 experience with music and I honestly just gave up about 4 hours in :D That being said I would also like to thank myself bc honestly making this was a huge time and energy commitment (and we all know I have huge commitment issues) I still really enjoyed making this though and I'm hoping that I'll be able to get to the actual game part <3
