Her parents were named Ivythorn, and Windpelt. Her parents were both from Shadowclan and she was born in shadowclan. She always wanted to help heal cats with herbs so she became the medicine cat apprentice. She was a quick learner and she new all the right herbs for each disease. One day there was a terrible wild fire in shadowclan on her second week of medicine cat apprenticeship. The wild fire killed several cats and destroyed a lot of shadowclan territory. During the wild fire she got a scar on her front paw and it is still here to this day. Her father died in the wildfire trying to save her and her mother. Riverpaw and her mother ventured off into the wild hoping to find a new home. But her mother breathed in too much smoke during the wildfire and she got sick. Riverpaw tried to find the right herbs to heal her mother, but there were no herbs in sight and she could not heal her mother in time. Before Her mother died, her mother told Riverpaw to keep going on without her. Her mother even said, “during the rest of your journey your power will start to grow and you will find a new clan.” Riverpaw had know idea what she was talking about, but she kept going for her mother. After days of searching the forest for a new home, Riverpaw was about to give up, until she heard a whisper, and it was coming from a tree. The tree told her that she had the gift of speaking and listening to nature, and that she inherited it from her mother. Now Riverpaw new what her mother was talking about. When she slowly starts getting older, her power will slowly develop and get stronger. The tree told her that there is a clan called Fireclan up north. The tree told her to get there you have to follow the path of trees, plants and flowers. And if you get lost, talk to plants and they will tell you. Riverpaw did what the tree told her. She got lost alot, but she got help from the plants and she was certain she would make it to Fireclan. When she got hungry, the plants told her where there are nearby prey. When she got sick, or hurt the plants would tell her where the herbs are if she couldn’t find them. After a matter of days, she made it to Fireclan. Some cats were worried what a stranger apprentice was doing here. She told the deputy to bring her to the leader. The deputy eyed her curiously and she hesitated a bit but she brought her to the leader. Riverpaw told the leader her whole story and adventure to get here, and she even told her about her special gift. The leader welcomed her with opens arms and she promised to make sure cats won’t judge her just because she is shadowclan born. She continued her apprenticeship with the Fireclan medicine cat. She learned very quickly again, about Fireclan herbs. But there were sometimes attacks and disasters that came to Fireclan. But thanks to her gift, the plants could warn her if disasters or attacks would happen and she would save her new clan. After a few years the old medicine cat died and Riverpaw became Riversong and she was the new medicine cat. She is one of the best medicine cats becuase she knows a soooo much about herbs and diseases and the locations of the herbs and what each herb is for and how to help her clan. To this day her power to speak to plants is stronger than ever. She is currently 28 moons.
