netw0rk is a game where you play as a person working in a Tech Department, and you must create a network and manage it without getting hacked and losing your data. Create your nodes (The amount of nodes you can create depends on your difficulty level) and protect them by fending off hackers, and strengthening your firewall. Good luck in this brutal game!
Here's a guide on how to play the game. It's very confusing so listen up. You must create your nodes, and that will be your network for your facility. After your nodes are created, your firewall command shell is accessible. From here, you can input the "help" command to get a list of useful commands. It's important to know that the frequency of network attacks depends on the difficulty (1 being hardest, 3 being easiest). You must be constantly checking your network to make sure there are no intruders. Use the "net view" command in order to actively monitor your network and see if anybody shows up. If an intruder is detected, one of your nodes will be infected! However, this is fixable. You need to act fast though, before the spyware spreads. If all of your nodes are infected for too long, you will lose! You can fix up your nodes by running the "net clean" command. It takes 10 seconds to deploy, and it cleans the PUP out of your network, so now you can use the "net defrag" command to defragment your nodes and get them back to normal. It's important to remove the unwanted parties first before trying to defragment your nodes, otherwise it will be impossible. But wait! There's still more than hackers that you need to worry about. Your data can leak after 30 seconds of not being encrypted. Run the "encrypt *" command when you get a chance, so that you can reset the timer and keep your data safe from leaks for a while. However, encrypting your nodes takes away 75% of your processing power. So it's important to run the "pp restore" command to restore 25% of your processing power. It's important to use time management skills in order to multitask between encrypting your nodes and fending off unwanted parties. If you think you're ready, try out the hard difficulty mode! It gives you a serious challenge and tests your skills! And if you're still wanting a challenge, hold 7 in the difficulty menu, and turn on "Insane Mode". Trust me, it's insane. (It's so hard, seriously. You will either have fun trying to get annoyed losing.)
