So I decided to rename him… this is Jay … He’s a paid ass@ssin With a backstory finally finished! Anyways art thingy: 1- Complete art piece 2- Sketch 3- Lineart- I gave him a tattoo >:] 4- Coloring and cell shading 5- Swapped the bg color and added some effects- gave him a mark under his eye- gonna add lore to that later 6- Lighting to make it prettier ofc ✨✨ 7- Texture anddd… done! Aka the finished piece again. I will do more eventually but as of rn this is all my sick body can cough up- enjoy lol Character Bio: Name: Jay Hawthorne Gender: Male Sexual orientation: Asexual homoromantic Likes: Quiet, being alone, being in a blanket burrito, Beige, the color green Dislikes: loud noises, his past, bright colors, cold, mushrooms, high places, bright colors packed together (aka the junk food aisle at Costco- it gets overwhelming lol) Backstory: Jay had his family taken from him at a young age. The corrupt government of the tiny kingdom he lived in as a child took his family into custody for interacting with the black market. He tried to break them out, and ended up killing one of the guards in the process. He never successfully got them out. Seen as dangerous to keep around, his parents and older sister were hung the next day. He grew up traveling from inn to inn, barely scraping by with the money he earned from doing odd jobs around said inns. Everybody saw him as a scruffy, worthless rat. Eventually all this harsh treatment nearly drowned him in his own feelings. All he felt was pain and the day went by like a haze. By this time, he was doing assasination commissions and had many connections in the darker side of life. One of these connections brought him to a small diety. This diety promised him that he would be able to numb all pain, and all he would have to do was be cut by a crystal blade in two spots underneath the eye. He accepted the offer, desperate as he was. Unfortunately, this numbed all his emotions, including the positive ones. He became an empty shell of a person who acted only to stay alive. His only burst of emotions was the conflicting negative feelings when he fulfilled a commission (aka murber). Then, he met Beige. Beige was a wandering adventurer who happened to be staying at the inn Jay was currently working at. He was a kind, bubbly person, who unfortunately caught Jay in the act of killing a current resident at the inn. Jay panicked and invited him to join him for a drink at the tavern. (*cough cough* gay panic *cough cough*) It was more of a threat, though, as he had a knife to Beige’s throat at the time. He was in the act of explaining what he was doing when Beige pointed out the scars under his eyes. Beige then showed him scars of the same type on his wrist. But they were dull, like the numbing curse had already gone. Beige then explained they were a way of storing emotional power in the person’s blood. But it was really strong and sucked the emotions out of the person bearing the mark. Beige continued to explain a remedy to the curse, but it was a long ways away, so now they’re adventuring together and picking up misfit children to add to their emo band along the way. (I’m giving him a happy ending bc I can- I shall defend my child)
