Starting as a princess, he never felt comfortable identifying as female. Needless to say, his ex-girlfriend, who happens to be very strongly lesbian, had a very strong reaction when he revealed that he was changing from female to male. He may be an attractive flirtatious smooth-talking royal, but he faces plenty of hardships from haters. Females think that he's "lesbian" if he hits on them, and males think that he should still like men. Most people are unaccepting, but he still keeps his genuine smirk. He may only be a fictional character, but the struggle, hate, and stereotypes are real. Carles is proud of who he is, and anyone who's unsure of their gender should be proud the way they are too!
