Umber walked into the dark warehouse her fur ruffling from the occasional gusts of wind. As she touched the cool, wet, cement floor she heard a weirdly familiar voice from above. “Welcome tribute from 12. Show us what you can do.” A shiver went down her spine as she looked around. Multiple weapons were hanging up in the air but the two that caught her eyes were a small knife with a wooden handle and a little dummy hanging by it’s leg. She headed towards the small staircase. As she climbed the stairs she slipped and twisted her paw. Still determined on proving her worth she continued to climb going slower and limping a little. The wind pushed back at her as she climbed higher. As she reached the top she stopped and thought about how she was going to approach this. She grabbed a piece of lose metal and pulled as hard as she could. It came off and made a bang that echoed around. She pushed it towards the end of the staircase and the water helped a bit. As she reached the edge she stopped and got on top of the piece of metal. She jumped and touched the knife cutting herself in the process. As she began to fall back down towards the piece of metal. She sighed in relief as she landed. One down one more to go. She looked at the dummy. This one was going to be a lot more difficult. It wasn’t straight above her like the knife but rather towards the left of her. Then an idea came to her what if she didn’t use the dummy but the piece of metal instead. Her paw was feeling a little better than when she had twisted it and wasn’t limping anymore. She walked carefully with the knife in her paw off the piece of metal and set the knife off to the side. She pushed the metal off the stairs. It made an another loud band. She went carefully down the staircase. Almost slipping a few times but always caught herself. As she touched the cement floor she gave a smile. “Ok, now let’s start this thing.” She said to herself. The metal piece luckily landed leaning against the wall. Gripping the knife tightly she ran forwards and sliced the metal. Making a little indented line across it. As she continued to slice it and even showing off a bit. A voice said. “ I believe that’s enough.” She flicked her ears backwards, stopped, and put down the knife. As she was walking out she said “Oh yeah I never told you my name. Well I guess it doesn’t really matter cause i’ll be gone soon.” She left the warehouse with no emotion on her face.
