Hi everyone~ I'm sorry, but I'm not going to be continuing my Shattered kotlc fanfic. It was really stressful to put my ideas into words. \(-_-||) It was also a real mess of a fanfic. Again, I'm sorry. BUT since I left the series on some major loose ends, I'll be explaining them here :) (if you've read the fanfics and dont want an recap, skip to the Notes and Credits part.) ~ OK so basically: Sophie Foster's mind became shattered after Keefe's leaving. Since Sophie was the only elf able to heal shattered minds, immediately everyone went into panic. The Black Swan tried everything, but she was unresponsive. So since Grady knew where Keefe was, he hailed him and told him what happened. While Keefe was in the Forbidden Cities though, he stopped by Sophie's old house. He had found something buried near the house and when he uncovered it, it turned out to be a tin box addressed to future Sophie and future... Keefe. With photos. So he's confused and trying to figure out what the heck that means when Grady hails him. Naturally Keefe was in shock and internally screaming at why he couldnt do anything right and how everything was his fault. So he returns to the Lost Cities (Still not talking btw) and is faced with having to have a tribunal. The Councillors decide that since Keefe was extremely reckless that he will have to be sentenced to a punishment, exile. That is, if he can't heal Sophie, if he can, he'll be safe. At the tribunal, he sees Fitz who blows off on him, and Biana, who starts crying. "Please say you can help her, if you can't I don't know who can. Sophie and you are really close." Biana added with a half-smile." At the tribunal, Keefe also sees Councillor Oralie, who confides in him about being Sophie's biological mother. Meanwhile, in Sophie's POV, there are flashbacks from 2 days ago, where basically Biana and her are doing truth or dare. Sophie realizes she likes Keefe, and ends up telling Biana. However, Fitz happened to be listening, and was obviously angry. So back to Keefe, when the tribunal's over, he immediately goes to visit Sophie. Her condition is worse than he thought. She's put in a facility disturbingly familiar to the one Alvar was put in, since Edaline couldn't bear to listen to her screams without breaking down. Keefe has no idea what to do, so he pulls out the tin he found from Sophie's old house, with the pictures of him and her. Tentatively he shows them to her and she seems interested. Which is weird because people with shattered minds don't act the way Sophie is. She doesn't seem shattered, more like..... childish? Without thinking, Keefe leans in and gives her a gentle k!ss. When she k!zzes him back he realizes her mind is definitely NOT shattered. Also, the Council only gave Keefe 1 hr a day to see Sophie, so when his time is up, he leaves. -CONT BELOW-
-CONT- Back to Sophie's POV, when Keefe leaves, things are quiet. Then a key turns and a mysterious person in a black cloak comes in. He seems familiar. The black cloaked person takes an injection out of his pocket, and Sophie tries to inflict on him. The person shakes his head "Ah ah, no inflicting. You silly girl, trying this every time." Which means he's visited Sophie before. The injection turns out to be a dose of Elysian, and Sophie blacks out. When Keefe visits in the morning, he doesn't see Sophie. Initially he panics, but then he spots her, tied up and gagged in a corner and from behind him, a voice laughs claiming he fell right into the trap. He sedate Keefe. Okay so this is where it gets messy. So when Sophie wakes up, she's in the Healing Center, and she remembers everything up to Keefe's letter. The rest's a memory. Her mind's even though it wasn't necessarily shattered to begin with. Keefe isn't anywhere to be seen though. Elwin's there and Sophie asks what she's doing there. But Elwin says he doesn't know who Sophie is. Sophie's obviously really bewildered, and Elwin ends up giving her a sedative against her will, since she's disoriented. OKAy so here's where I'll give you my ideas/brain dump. So basically the idea was that the Neverseen were utilizing a product called Elysian, and it's properties were memory washing. So when they captured Sophie and Keefe, their plan was to wipe the moonlark's memories to make her on their side, and Keefe just happened to be there. But it didn't exactly work out the way they were planning. Instead the whole Lost Cities minds were wiped EXCEPT Sophie and Keefe's. Including the Neverseen's So that's how Keefe ends up dropping Sophie to the Healing Center, while he tried to figure out what happened. Anyways, after that it's just a bunch of confusing halfthoughts and whatnot. But it's a Sokeefe fanfic so in the end Sophie and Keefe end up together.
