it's honestly kind of cringe for me when someone (that isn't korean) calls someone else (that also isn't korean) unnie? unnie is a korean term that a younger female person calls one that is older, and if you're not korean - i don't exactly see a point in using it... i know a lot of korean people on other platforms that find it very offensive when people use the word unnie, but i don't really think that's offensive at all and i just feel second hand embarrassment when i see it being used- but then the people who find it somehow offensive to call people unnie also think that it's cultural appropriation to use a korean last name when you aren't korean- so like it's okay to use an american last name but not a korean one?? LMAO PLEASE. THAT'S LITERALLY FETISHIZING THE LAST NAME AND THEY'RE BEING A HYPOCRITE ABOUT IT (cough cough kquora cough cough)- ignore me i just wanted to put this somewhere :')
